Artist’s Biography

While depicting the people of our Historical American West, Robert A. Hudson not only paints it, he has experienced it.

Living in Idaho for nearly 20 years, Mr. Hudson has absorbed the feeling and attitude of the people and the land.

After rodeoing in the PRCA as a team roper, then raising horses on his ranch in Northern Idaho, Mr. Hudson has acquired a more complete knowledge and understanding of his favorite subject while working with friends and neighbors working cattle the old fashion way…from horseback.

Mr. Hudson has acquired the real life experience necessary to capture the spirit of the historical West he paint’s so passionately.

Mr. Hudson, a multi medium artist, has won best of show awards on numerous occasions and has developed a growing following of collectors that spans four continents.

Now working in Winona Lake, Indiana to be near his family, Mr. Hudson draws upon a lifetime of adventures, painting with a passion and a realism that transcends time. His goal as an artist is to have the viewer of his work not only share his passion of the subject, but to bring the viewer intimately into the work with a feeling as a participant, not just a viewer.
